Hot Off the Presses!!

I just received my (autographed! :-) copy of Cynthia Tinapple's new book Polymer Clay Global Perspectives and in a word it is FANTASTIC!  We members of the international polymer clay community have a lot to be very proud of and I am still astonished and enormously grateful that Cynthia included me as one of her Canadian representatives. My contribution is a tutorial that shares some of my polymer clay on canvas techniques.

If you haven't ordered your copy yet I urge you to do so-
it is a really remarkable publication.

Congratulations to Cynthia and my fellow contributors!

Travelling

This blog has been very quiet lately as I am travelling along the Oregon Coast. I can't  gather  kelp on this trip as my husband insisted on driving his little two- Seater with the the tiny trunk.

I am collecting lots of photos though and look forward to making more art cards when I get home.

The galleries here are wonderful but I am feeling overwhelmed with input so today I an going to the book store to buy a new sketchbook and try to Come up with Some sort of new direction with pc , fibres & weaving.

Art Cards

Art cards are a mainstay of aMused Studio. I have found that cards can generate at least half of my intake at many shows. I have photographed my work and used the images on cards. I'm going to try a new approach and use photos I have taken on my travels. Here are some of the images that I'll be putting on cards. I love tinkering with Photoshop!

Back to Work!

I'm home after a trip to Philadelphia and a sojourn through New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine. My sketchbook is filled with ideas and two big packages stuffed with reed and paper rush were delivered while I was away. I'm looking forward to getting to work in the studio but I am booked for two shifts at the Island Artisans' Excellence in Crafts Gallery today and tomorrow so I'll have to wait a few more days before getting started in the studio again!

I'm delivering some muses that just arrived back home after a trip to New York
to help promote Cynthia Tinapple's Global Perspectives book.
