I'm spending a few days beachside on Galiano Island and as there is a bountiful supply of kelp I'm stocking up my supply the way a squirrel stashes nuts for the winter! I start each day with a stroll down to the beach where I locate and untangle the harvest which drifts in on the overnight tide then I wind it up and place it on the rocks to be dried. Some nice hot days would be great to get the dehydration process underway.
We have some more warm weather coming G! Enjoy your time on the island :)
