A Year End Treat For You!

To celebrate the end of a very unsettling year I'm offering to lift your spirits with a re-run of my all time ever favourite commercial. It was so fitting that Time magazine made "The Protester" the person of the year. How blessed we would be if all problems requiring people to take a stand on the streets could have been solved this happily.

Enjoy the video and the uplifting music by Charles Trenet which you may end up happily humming as you pour your champagne, then.... add a comment in the box below - I'm celebrating years end and the opening of a shiny new 2012 with a draw for three surprise gifts- each item is handcrafted here in my aMused Studio. I'll do a blind draw and contact the three winners on New Years Day for your addresses.

I know Blogger is sometimes cranky for people posting comments here- I've never been able to resolve it but Blogger recently added lots of cool new features so maybe the issue was resolved....if not you may be able to post as "Anonymous" just indicate who you are. I'm sure to find you!

    Hi Gera, I would LOVE to win a special something something from you!!! Hope your 2012 is heaps better than your 2011!! Sometimes its just good to get the bad stuff out of the way so you can enjoy the good stuff!!....here's to the good stuff!! :)

    YOU know that I already loooove to collect things made by you! lol This would be so lovely and cheerful end to the Year.
    The video sure did make me laugh and brings back memories of pillow fights as a kid along with food fights (not simultaneously, ha). Pillows are much cleaner!!
    I'm going to absolutely toast you on New Years (maybe with an Absolut) and am wishing you a more uplifting, no, make that 'exhilarating' 2012!

    LOVED it. It truly would be a wonderful world if all we had to fight with was pillows. Imagine the mess in Walmart if the woman who felt it necessary to bring pepper spray to selfishly get through to the best bargains had brought feather-filled pillows instead. And what wonderful scenes the Occupy protest toss ups would have been with feathers flying everywhere instead of the dreadful images we saw! Ah ... it's so good to have a delightful fantasy on occasion, if only to dispel for a little while the reality of what we've become. Thanks for the giggle. I needed that.

    Happy New Year to you Gera! (Which reminds me I need to get off the computer and go get ready to celebrate!) I know that this year has had a lot of ups and downs for you and your art business.     On that pillow fight... they must have had special 'pillow fight' pillows. I've never been able to get my pillows to break. My sibs and I tried pretty hard one time and only ended up knocking each other down, but no flying feathers! lol
